If you decide to go with credit cards, talk to several companies to do your merchant processing. They are very competiative and you can get a fairly good rate. I got all my processing equiptment from ebay and paid a couple hundred for decent used, versus several thousand for brand new. I did not have any problem with my service provider uploading what I needed to the used equiptment. And there is always paypal if someone really can't pay with cash or check, they are just a little bit more than a merchant service provider.
