As far as his torture..Lets review.

He broke both his arms and his leg when he ejected from his plane. His shoulder was then broken when he was taken captive. His captors refused to treat him and beat him every few hours for weeks until they realized his daddy was an admiral. Once he did receive care, it was basically too late for his injuries to heal properly, disfiguring him for life. He was starved and lost nearly 50 pounds and then was taken to the Hanoi Hilton. He was thrown into solitary for 2 years.

After the two year ordeal in solitary he was hung by his elbows and beaten every two hours for months while suffering from dysentery..Which wasnt treated. He was continually beaten for years on a daily basis and his incarceration lasted for 5 1/2 years.

In contrast...We poured water up a guys nose and put underwear on someones head.
