OT/ I think the basic economic problem the US and the world is facing boils down to this: 1 Timothy 6:10 - For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

All those people in the financial institutiions of the world, let's face it, have the love of money. They do everything in their power to draw more and more money unto themselves, regardless of the effects it has on other people. They grant themselves and their associates high salaries, bonuses, options, etc., like they themselves own the companies that they work for instead of the shareholders, who are the real owners of the companies. Even workers try to get every penny they can in yearly raises driving up the cost of everything the consumer buys.

Think about it -- Isn't it the love of money that has gotten us into this mess that we are in?

I know we need to support ourselves financially, but many people have gone way too far. Try to get a plumber or an electrician or even a dental cleaning and you're talking $80 to $125 an hour.

Ridiculous, and sad.
