They run towers on the top peaks and relay stations. So if you aren't off the beat path too far it should work.
Unless your in primative forest areas.
The GPS are amazing. Didn't realize they had like a panic option on them. I like asking for directions myself. lol Like the element of surprise. Cemjq anyone? lol
Have a nice time.
