VK, turning them “Hard ball” tumors to “softball” tumors could be done with a microtubule destabilizer started first. Can you guess which one I’m suggesting? (Panzem, cough, cough).
“Mechanistic studies showed that the microtubule destabilizers, but not the microtubule stabilizers, radically reduced blood flow to tumors, thereby enlarging the hypoxic niche…”(1)
I know Entremed has an ongoing Avastin/Panzem trial but maybe Roche may want to pick up the entire tab on another Avastin/Panzem combo trial if they could be convinced it would be in their own best interest.
From a HIF, Nitric oxide and Necrotic center point of view, Panzem if started first looks like a real good Avastin combo mombo. (Credit to C-Peptide for the first suggestion of the two together.)
