The S-3 filed on Aug 18 is not a consequential filing for MNTA shareholders and it does not relate to any action by MNTA itself. Rather, the filing's purpose is to allow the 91,576 MNTA shares owned by Parivid—a small company from whom MNTA acquired an informatics tool in 2007—to be sold in the open market. Previously, these shares had been unregistered and hence not sellable in the open market.
