Bush is saying some pretty terrifying stuff yet a scrutiny of iHub political boards shows a comatose electorate oblivious to the whole picture while they narrowly focus on Iraq and WMD’s.

You can say that again. One of my big problems with most people that support Kerry is that if Kerry wins it will most likely delay people getting the big picture. Of course an aggressive thug like Bush remaining in office is also unacceptable.

In opposing Bush people are forgetting to oppose the war. Kerry is for the war. He says so point blank and many people just choose to deny this fact. Fear is running the decisions of people voting for Bush and Kerry. One group of people fear terror, one group fears Bush. Neither group oppose the war. Both groups are voting for more war. Both groups are focusing on Iraq in a nearsighted way. When I see a large group of Kerry supporters voting for Kerry to get Bush out of office AND having a hard line in the sand drawn for Kerry to withdraw I would consider holding my nose and voting for Kerry. I think something like a sixty day withdraw or impeachment is a good starting place.

Japan readies to name China as `real security threat'

By Adar Primor

TOKYO - Reports of the alleged North Korean nuclear experiment that did, or did not, take place ten days ago had scarcely died down when another bombshell hit the media - Japan may declare China to be the country that most threatens its security.

For some reason this brings back memories of Zhironovsky(sp?)
He wanted Moscow to take Japan and Nuke them if they resisted.
To early in the game for Moscow to be making a move on Japan. later in the game? I can imagine it. Would the problems you mention of the thugs in Moscow not being able to populate the countryside be solved ( or make a big difference )by the region closest to Japan having a better economy? Taking Japan would sure help that. Japan is also a warm water port? No?

Of course China taking Taiwan and Russia or China taking Japan would have zero effect on our economy. So we should drop more bombs on mountain tops in Afghanistan and start digging towards the center of the earth in Iraq to find WMD`s
