Nearly all Americans envision themselves to be among the wealthiest ten percent of the American population, or even higher.

The mere thought of providing air for everyone in America to breath is horrifyingly socialist.

They're certain providing air to all will inevitably restrict their own freedom to breath.

The degree to which most Americans vote against their own self-interest is a curiosity which seems unequaled anywhere else in the world.
