Congrats! The Mosin Nagant and it's 7.62x54R round are a truly great pair. The rifle is one of the best ever built, and the 7.62x54R round is basically the equivalent of our famous 30-06. These rifles are as accurate as any military rifle could hope to be, and better. I have had a Mosin Nagant M1891/30 in the past, and it shhot very well. However, I sold it and bought a M44 (carbine length), and now I also have the M38, it's the same as the shorter M44 but it does not have the attached side-mounted bayonet.
