HERE'S SOME 'NEWS' steright from the 1st hand MOUTH.
I just left Mobile, Alabama, for those that don't know, the Beacon is 20 miles S.Sw. in Bayou LaBatre, Alabama. I went to the shipyard, Steinxx, 13XXX WoodXXXX AXX, 365XX, 251-824-XXXX.
(that's the address, zip, and phone number)The Beacon IS on blocks,(dry land), she's been there UNTOUCHED since February. There is still a 'FEDERAL' sticker, TODAY.. The dust and dirt on the boat confirms, 'THERE HAS BEEN 'NO' NONE, WORK ON THIS VESSEL..NONE!!!..and the daily storage grows. I am amaized, this vessel has sat since ?February??????..Noteing, the ORRV web-site states the Beacon is 'dry docked' undergoing refittings and repairs fo various equiptment and softwares.
NO-ONE is allowed on the vessel Beacon as it is STILL "UNDER-ARREST" by FEDERAL LAWS. =====================================
