Cree Inc. (CREE:US) increased 8.3 percent to $34.47 and advanced earlier to $34.75, the highest intraday price since February 2008. The maker of semiconductors said profit this quarter excluding some items may be as high as 23 cents a share. That’s more than the average estimate of 17 cents a share compiled from a Bloomberg survey of analysts.
