I heard Seymour Hersh taliking about this administration on radio today. He says that they are neo con ideologues and their attitude is that you are either with us or you are the enemy.

Hersh said that he hopes he does not have to continue to report on this stuff for another 4 years. He hopes things will get back to a more normal situation.

He says that he you to like Rumsfeld but after 911 he was never the same again. They attacked Shinseki for the sin of telling them that they would not be greeted as liberators and that at least 200,000 ground soldiers would be needed to maintain order.

Hersh says that the Bush people really believe this stuff.
They retaliate against anyone who does not agree with them including him. They deny access to reporters that do not tow the party line.

His assessment of the Bush's RNC speech was that it was delusional when he started talking about bringing democracy to
a free Iraq. Iraq will be slow bleed of dead US soldiers and lost treasure.

Hersh said that Cheney sent word to Rumsfeld that they would hang tough on the Abu Gharib prison torture. He says Rumsfeld and Cheney knew all about the torture. They will tough out every scandal that comes their way.
