Call it what you will, black gold, Texas tea, or the black blood of the earth, MV Oil Trust is wringing out the value from each drop and distributing it to shareholders. MV Oil Trust receives royalty interests from the mature oil and gas properties of MV Partners located in Kansas and Colorado. The properties have proved reserves of 9.5 million barrels of oil from 922 net wells. The trust receives royalties based on the amount of oil (and gas) produced and sold and then distributes virtually all of the proceeds to shareholders on a regular basis. MV Partners, a private company engaged in the exploration, production, gathering, aggregation, and sale of oil and natural gas, has the rights to 80% of net proceeds.
