Hi Welles: I think it's the capricious nature of hurricanes more than the NOAA computers that are to "blame." What if "Charley" had not dropped from a class 4 to a class 2? That would have been irresponsible of the National Hurricane Service. Always opt and prepare for the worst: and go with the best analysts. And hope for the best. This is an awful lot like trading.
