Thanks, Mira! You stay COOL too. Texas was all over the CNBC business new this morning. Another 1939 dust bowl, withoput the dust.
We got down to 64* early this morning, but with high humidity here in the green woods, bummer. Just 71* for the last 4 days. Still going to hit the high 90'ies today. A small cooling trend may start Saturday, below 90* so they say...and by Monday in the mid 80'ies.
I sure hope so.

The big heatwave of 2009 is now beginning to wane. A slight onshore flow should cool us down a few more degrees this afternoon- with daytime highs headed down to around 99 to 100 degrees in most valley cities. The coast is completely covered with clouds and fog because of the stronger onshore flow- but should see partial clearing in the afternoon. Low temperatures overnight should finally be down in the 60s here.
Tomorrow's forecast looks even cooler for Portland-Vancouver with highs around 94. Although we won't see 100s over the weekend, it will still be fairly warm with highs staying in the upper 80s and low 90s.
