also, zatoichi, the naked short position can't be discerned from any publically available records. it's a travesty but true. you will hear of many methods to force naked shorts to cover, but none would work so well as requiring disclosure of naked short positions, as a diluting factor, by brokerage dealers and MMs.

anyone who files complaint with SEC or NASD or any other entity about naked shorts, please request a requirement of full disclosure and auditing of naked short positions on all stocks.
