I must agree. The Kerry campaign has been a disaster. They simply don't play the game as well as the republicans. They don't know how to send a clear message. And they don't know how to attack their opponent. Politics is not about truth. It's about spin and misrepresentation of the opponent’s message while sending a clear and consistent message that is easily digested by the masses. In the end, the side, which sends the clearest message while slinging the most mud that sticks, will be the winner. Pretty sad if you ask me but that's just the way it is. And so far, Kerry is remarkably deficient on both scores.

The way I see it is if Kerry wants to win, he needs to demonstrate that he will be strong on defense. He needs to lose the nuances. He needs to send a clear picture of how he will help America prosper. He needs sound bites that appear to come from his heart. He also needs to hammer on the deceptions, and continuously point out the hypocrisy of his opponent. Finally, he needs to lose that dumb salute along with his elitest persona that turns off so many people. He, like Bush needs to reach the many voters that are still on the fence... those voters that either see little differece between he and Bush... and those voters that are so confused by all the BS that they have ceased to care.

This is a street fight. If he doesn't get down in the dirt and do what needs to be done, he will definitely lose. And he needs to do it without showing his anger. One thing about the republicans, they know how to do their thing with a smile on their face.
