And some would say it was absolutely great. Democrats have been tip-toeing around this whole war the entire time, trying to show their strong enough to declare and fight war, yet compelling enough to the voters to show them they're peaceful and compassionate.

What Zell Miller did tonight was basically draw a line in the sand and say enough is enough. The partisanship has to end. Calling our commander in chief a liar when our troops are in harms way does not help anything. By not showing support during this war but, instead, dividing the country over this war, only gives power to our enemies, and other countries who demonstrate against us. It's a shame that we can make such a strong statement to the world about our aggressiveness in pursuing regions harboring terrorists, yet we can ruin all of that because of the people like Ted Kennedy and John Kerry who show the world we aren't committed to the wars we fight, and that we second guess ourselves the entire time.

I thought Miller's speech was right on, perhaps the best speech of the 21st century, or maybe second to Bush's address to Congress after 9/11. It was powerful, emotional. You can tell with the way he delivered the speech, that he was passionate, that he was truly upset. He looked like a man possessed, sickened by his party and their betrayal to what he considers the fundamentals of his party. He makes a damn good case for the shift of the democratic party.
