Iran is a fundamentalist regime and they are very close to becoming a nuclear power, if they are not already. N. Korea and Pakistan are already nuclear. The so-called Bush Doctrine has actually encouraged nuclear proliferation among so-called rogue, fundamentalist regimes. They see it as a deterent to US aggression, ie we won't do to them what we did to Iraq. And so far it's been working. We destroy Iraq and negotiate with N. Korea and Iran, we pay Pakistan to be our friend.

The Mideast is really dangerously unstable, much more so than before we "disarmed" Saddam, and democratized Iraq by force. Iraq, in the heart of the Mideast is in a state of chaos. Afghanistan is teetering on anarchy with various rival, warlord factions. The existing governments of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are at risk of falling to fundamentalist factions. Much of this destabilization is the result of our Iraq policy, not finishing the job in Afghanistan before entering a new adventure, and our Mideast policy in general. Iraq is only part of our problem.

Imagine what Dubya can do with 4 more years?
