Well, obviously Bush for one. I don't think Bush should go out of this unscathed by any means. But I think we need to keep things in perspective, and realize this was the right thing to do.
I think Rumsfeld has done a tremendous job. His skeptics have consistently been wrong. At first they said this was another Vietnam. Then they said we could never win the war against Iraq. Then they said we didn't have enough troops to preserve the lifeline from the Persian Gulf to Baghdad. Then they said the people didn't want to be freed from Saddam. The list goes on and on of pointless attacks against Rumsfeld and the Bush cabinet. Yes, they've made their mistakes, but Rumsfeld military strategy in defeating Saddam was brilliant.
I would hardly consdier what we're doing now a military strategy campaign. There's nothing to occupy, nothing to conquer. We're dealing with renegade people sympathetic to various religious causes who are trying to cause havoc. We're trying to hold on long enough so the Iraqi government can get the right people in place so they can defend themselves.
