Tectonic?

I maintain that:

We are at the end of an era that started with the Marshall plan. The Marshall plan was the time of the start of the Era of unquestioned American dominance in many fields.

At this same time booms in technology were escalating us into a new era. In terms of power America benifited the most from this tech boom. When the bubbles burst this will change in a major way.

We are at the start of a war cycle

I think you are right about people coming to reality AFTER the bubbles burst. If history repeats itself and 1 to 5 ounces of gold buys the dow we have a long way to drop. Soros says that at the end of all major currency crisis is a big political shift. If ever in my lifetime we are ripe for huge political shift it is now.

Tectonic? Sounds like the right word to me.
