"After the money was intercepted in Texas, there was a "controlled" delivery of the cash in Delaware. I wonder if that means they bought the mule a plane ticket and flew him in custody with an agent in the seat next to him."

I think that must have been the scenario.

If the mule was in the age bracket of Matt and Evo, he was almost surely placed under a great deal of stress when he was apprehended. The gendarmes probably played him (or her) like a fiddle. That would not have been difficult with anyone in this gang given their lack of sophistication.

These youngsters were in WAY over their heads. It is real easy to develop an inflated view of oneself when you are very young and wallowing in cash. Unfortunately for them, writing decent computer code or being handy with software in no way would prepare them for this situation.

When you come face to face with the various players in our US legal system--which is totally controlled by those folks--it is a real shock to your psyche, especially if you are playing in a fairly high stakes game.

For sure, the cops, the esquires, the judges, the feds, they all know their roles in the game and they are almost always very confidant, well trained, highly educated, tough cookies.

This case will be pretty much a slam dunk for the good guys.
