the last few weeks for me have been a time of more finding and reading and thus less time for posting, of piling up vastly more 'for-the-board' saved links than I've been able to get to on the board, even moreso than usual -- a lot going on out there -- . . .
yeah, I do have a real thing about making posts in strings and, especially, about putting/linking together strings of posts that together definitively, or at least as definitively as possible, address what I regard as important matters
thanks to your efforts and the efforts of quite a few others as well as my own over the past more than 5 years now (most 'interesting' years, in the Chinese sense), this board has become home to a very substantial and genuinely wide-ranging collection of highly relevant and important materials -- whole lot of good stuff lives here
my constantly putting/pulling things together the way I do is just my way of keeping some relevant portions of all that good stuff previously posted tied into current discussion, providing context and keeping such good stuff previously posted accessible (especially to Free Members who can't do searches) for anyone interested enough to click through a few things -- OK, maybe a few dozen -- or a few hundred -- lol
oh hell, sometimes I just like to really make the rubble bounce in hammering home a point on the however-slight chance some dingy, long-disused vacuum tube might flicker back to life in some hardcase's reinforced bunker of a cranium -- and I suppose that's also a bit of the would-be, could-have-but-made-other-choices perfesser thing (Kingsfield, fer shure, lol) -- heck, college or graduate-level course syllabi could be cobbled together from at least a couple of those strings
it's always good to hear I'm not the only one who has ever poked through any of those strings -- you are more than welcome; thank you for saying so
