Have you considered something along the lines of using your "acting bullish/bearish" establish your trend long/short position, then using your scalp generator to lighten your current position by x%?

ex. your indicator says "acting bullish", you establish a 100% long position. When your "short 25%" scalp hits, you reduce your long position to 75%
