I used to believe that was true about 'former employees' posting on the boards, but I'm just not so sure anymore.
Either it is true, and they posted here OR, we have all simply figured out so much on our own and it is so close to the truth that Jared THINKS they are posting here.
Of course some people post 'rumors' that sure seem like they could only have started from some sort of inside info, but how are we to know? I still don't know exactly who the posters are that everyone thinks are ex-employees, but I do have suspicions. Regardless, with Jared coming out and saying he believes this, doesn't that open up a can of worms for him? Now we are all supposed to think that some of these rumors ARE true, or else he wouldn't be worried about them? Which rumors? That is the problem I had with this whole thing, when people started claiming certain posters here are ex-employees or whatever, and then Jared comes in and agrees, he simply opens himself up to all sorts of speculation that could have been avoided by not even acknowledging the rumors. We all know you can't believe some of the stuff on the boards.
The main problem remains and that is when you are not factually transparent but only manage to feign it with 'accessibility', you are ALWAYS going to have vicious rumors based on perceptions. Start releasing factually verifiable information, and it wouldn't matter what is posted on the message boards, because rather than pay attention to rumors, people would be able to focus on the financial facts.
I tend to think Jared did have the best intentions at one time and that he got mixed up with the wrong people as others have been saying. Either way, if his best intentions are really toward the shareholders then that will be indicated by all future actions.
