The 3 companies right now (including Exobox) are aggressively working on protection not only inside the network, but also outside - "in the wild". I would also like to mention that the next-gen DLD/DLP outside the network has not been done before. Currently, the competitors only have theories & white papers to develop what they consider revolutionary. In my eyes, they are still eons away from what Exobox has to offer on the table. Also, the 2 competitors are not large DLP companies, such as Symantec, McAfee, WebSense, etc.
With everything said, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. I'm sure if the competiton gets an "opportunity" to see what Exobox can do & understand the technology a bit better, they will incorporate part of the technology as their own. However, Exobox holds the patent. Although, the patent is currently pending, I feel that Osha Liang will ensure all grounds are covered as far as protecting their technology.
In my opinion, Exobox will be evaluated & rewarded the KickAss Award of the Century. I feel that nothing comes close to what Exobox has to offer. We have another 3-4 weeks to see if I'm right or wrong. Either way, this has been one heck of an adventure, needless to say a roller-coaster ride as well. LOL..
