Agreed on getting name/concept recognition. It's just that setting up a facebook, tweeter or other social network profile doesn't do that because people have to already know about the product AND be interested enough to look at the social network site. IMHO that would only likely be investors who already own the stock - not even customers, let alone potential customers.
I think Skins is between a rock and a hard place because they don't have any working capital to use for advertising and marketing and their recent capital raises have been at huge discounts to future bid prices on the stock.
I would imagine that they don't want to do too much product PR (I think the recent PRs were as much for investor benefit as customer) until the website is up and running.
It really is too bad they spent over $15 million to get where they were at year end without building any inventory or holding any cash.
