Rock concerts used to be held in the old Hemisfair Arena here in San Antonio until they built the Alamodome. Hemisfair was great. Held the sound really well. The Alamodome is too big. But, the big rock and country stars love it because they bring in 60,000 fans at a pop. Sellouts included The Eagles Reunion Tour, Pink Floyd, The Doobie Brothers, Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, George Strait 7 or 8 straight years (course he lives here), several by Garth Brooks although he had a different configuration, Rod Stewart, Elton John, and several others. Back in the 80's San Antonio was #2 next to Los Angeles as far as a Heavy Metal fan base. One night you'd see nothing but cowboys and the next night you'd see guys looking like girls and girls looking like guys. LOL
