I would not be totally shocked, but I would be very surprised if a Sun 64 bit operating system is now running on a Opteron x86.

This is verbatim what the press release says: Note it is carryfully worded to mislead:

We're the only company that delivers an enterprise proven UNIX operating system on x86 with Solaris. For customers that want to run Linux we provide systems with screaming performance and broad application support.

It seems to say that Unix is the operating system and Solaris is the Application.
