Dew...I agree with Dr. Saltz too, I read a lot of posts on these boards which feel once a cancer indication is approved then it automatically opens the door for off-label use for treating other indications. Well, that's just not advisable unless there is supporting clinical data to justify prescribing such. I think oncologists/physicians in general risk too much themselves i.e. their practice/license to practice, and malpractice suits by prescribing/administering drugs to treat indications when there is minimal data to support such. The open label sales pitch one hears or reads about is hype.

Then there are patients and doctors out there who assume the risk of doing such, I'm sure the patient has to sign some type of waiver of subrogation rights before being treated off-label.
