I trade the financial markets. Been doing it for a pretty long time. I’ve been on top, and I’ve also taken some damn good knocks. But I’m still in the ring.

Are you your own worst critic? I'm not. I've got one person who e-mails me every day. She rides my flaws, from bad trade location to rotten grammar. I'll respect her request for anonymity (it's not Mrs. Greenspan). I actually appreciate her interest. But I'm not going to apologize for the inferences she draws. Especially when I'm not implying anything. True, there's not much of a buffer between my thoughts and the keyboard. But that's the way it is. She's super-freaky, yow.
The Dow is currently trading 9,905. It's off 38 bucks. Tomorrow is important. We get to look at July Retail Sales. If the number is strong (my guess) and the stock market rallies, I'm going to short it in front of Friday's (PPI) inflation data. I don't like betting economic releases, but I'm going to.
I'm offering September crude at $45.40. I'm getting a sell signal on my parabolic indicators, and I don't even know what they really mean. But it's good enough for me. I'll expect an e-mail tomorrow.
Play grains from the buy side. Warning: trade with a stop. The whole complex is still de-leveraging, so be careful. But the risk/return profile at current levels favors taking a (long) shot.
