After getting released on Monday, Derrick Alexander cruised up to New England for a visit with the Patriots on Tuesday, according to ESPN.com. On Wednesday he will visit the Bucs.

The Pats already signed Donald Hayes earlier in the offseason, so Alexander's visit is a bit curious from their standpoint. However, from Derrick's standpoint, it makes sense to visit as many teams as possible to drive up his asking price from the Vikings, with whom he is expected to sign.
