no the mayor doesnt get to chose whats best for his city when it is falling apart no jobs and the land was zoned for this purpose. You cant zone it for one thing and not let people do that. Also 40 jobs are a big deal plus also all the buisness that those jobs support .Taxes paid are a good thing. This mayor is not looking out for his town jobs are good. Also whydidnt they buy the land if they wanted to control use, maybe its because they had no money they cant have it both ways if you want control buy the land or let people do what the land is zoned for when it will help you town
