Regarding the larger point, I value sales growth that stems from pricing less than sales growth that stems from volume because it is only sustainable as long as you can raise your price and LIMITED by the extent of your price increases.
Sales growth that stems from volume (as a rule is more sustainable) and thus has more predictive value. This same concept extends beyond the realm of pharmaceuticals.
