Gulf of Guinea Deep Water (Nigeria and JDZ)

- continued to conduct technical studies evaluating the exploration
prospect drilling locations of the Corporation's deep water
licenses that contain working interest unrisked prospective oil
resources of 1,359 MMbbl (493 MMbbl risked). The Corporation plans
to drill its first high impact exploration well in the Deep Water
Gulf of Guinea in late 2009 at the Kina prospect in Block 4 of the
Joint Development Zone. Chevron Corp. has notified the Nigeria/Sao
Tome Joint Development Authority of its intent to move into the
second exploration phase for Block 1.
