I think CREE is headed for just a shade under 32, which is the next pivot area above 29.

I thought LED lighting was a great idea when it first showed up on semi tractors and trailers. You have no idea how much of a pain it was for fleets to service incandescent bulbs that would break due to the harshness of over the road trucking. We spec'd them on our fleet as soon as they became available, and they paid for themselves quicker than anything I've ever seen.

They are showing up in more automotive applications, and LED Christmas lights have been out for some time as well. It will probably be quite some time before we see them as competitive indoor lighting solutions.

I remember the first time I saw them used as auxilary lighting was on Virgin Airlines in upper class about 6-years ago. It was pretty cool, and it's proved a great alternative to the intrusive overhead lights for illumination.
