Winter, I'm not sure if you know about Servenation and Pinr connection, But Here's an update from Servenation website:

ServeNation was born from an idea that was started with its founding company MinistryHome. MinistryHome, founded in Seattle in 2003, was created so that missionaries could create inexpensive, easy to use websites. This unique product allowed missionaries to maintain contact with their supporters, network in ways never before experienced and potentially give more opportunity for funding. In June of 2007, MinistryHome was acquired by an Indiana company and MinistryHome Inc. was formed. In the first few months of this acquisition, staff was hired, capital was raised, a board was created and operations were established.

Work was immediately started to make MinistryHome better. Although MinistryHome provided a great way to build inexpensive websites for missionaries, funding for missionaries was still an issue. The management team came together with a few new ideas and landed on a unique online funding tool. This would be a way for supporters of a missionary to make purchases online and a portion of the proceeds would go to the missionary.

MinistryHome began to expand the size and breadth of its markets as it began to serve not only missionaries but other Christian ministries and churches. Most non-profits were already familiar with gift cards or scrip programs so by moving this concept securely online, it opened the door for online fundraising for all non-profits.

As soon as this online feature was added, MinistryHome began receiving calls from many other non ministry/church related non-profits wanting an online store but without the religious overtones. Because of these requests, ServeNation, LLC was created in May of 2008 to offer fundraising products to approved secular non-profits. By making this site available to its supporters, an organization's donors may choose to make ordinary, everyday purchases at a variety of retail businesses with a portion of the proceeds going to the charitable organization.

Soon after its inception, ServeNation's/MinistryHome's management team hired Andrew Maley as Vice President of Sales to grow the online gift store by contacting nonprofits to let them know of this new tool. Through email campaigns and phone calls along with the hiring of other independent contractors, many non-profits have signed up and find this tool to be an excellent way to receive additional funds for their cause. As ServeNation was growing its presence with the secular non-profits, and Ministryhome was continuing to grow its website presence with missionaries and other ministry related organizations, it was becoming more difficult for the management team to decide where to put their focus to ensure the best quality product as an end result. With a desire to give our clients the best product possible, Feb of 2009, a change in ownership occurred and MinistryHome and ServeNation were no longer owned by the same management team.

ServeNation has since moved to its own location where Andrew Maley was hired as the President. ServeNation took over all of the online stores that MinistryHome had and MinistryHome now focuses on purely websites. ServeNation has been continually growing and making new changes to better serve our clients.
