Let us let it lie here--politics in any form is a hazard on a stock thread and this area we are getting into a complexity.
I can just say we are imperil of getting into a battle over nuance---i can counter an expand on Hungary in 1964 being a burst of fire of a brave resistance that simmered and lived within the U.S.S.R. long before a power vacuum occurred, and that the Soviet Empire was eroding from within for a very long time.
But we would be getting into a what came first the chicken or the egg debate; and those arguments become circular and best be put aside.WL.
