I've been running live strategies for about a year now. They are most effective as an exit strategy so you don't get greedy and its sells when your technical analysis tells you to sell. You often have to put some extra conditions on the entry block to prevent false triggers.
I've also figured out how to color-code the candlesticks based on my preferred overbought/oversold indicator. That alone has been very helpful in getting me up the learning curve. Here's a few examples where I paint the bars based on what I think constitutes overbought/oversold in conjunction with my strategy.
