I am answering posts directed to me in the order that I read them, but only have so much time to devote to doing so. I have already devoted several hours to writing answers this afternoon alone, and the post you reference was one of them.

I did notice the last statement of that post, and I do not remember answering that particular point. So just in case.....

"As an adult, if your spouse dies or you get divorced, you just simply turn off the chemistry until you find a mate....right?

Actually, that is correct. We are to refrain from all sex outside of marriage -- no exceptions.

Oooops -- just noticed one other thing. Since the Lord does not permit divorce except in the case of "marital infidelity" (Greek "porneia" -- fornication) any "divorce" granted by man for any other reason does not release you from this obligation -- you are still married in the eyes of God and are thus unable to remarry. This is an oversimplification of the concept (there are additional factors to consider for Bible believing Christians), but the gist is correct.
