Combining a couple of posts here. Stiglitz's suggestion was to take the $700B, start a new bank and leverage the money to $8T....more than enough to cover needs and accounts. There would be no run. As I said, the transfer would be seamless.

Geitner and Bernanke are pissed and STILL give money to AIG who, in turn, gives it to FOREIGN banks. But I'm glad they're pissed....makes me feel better.
