newair... we've all felt your pain.
Gosh knows it's a very choppy market and doesn't make a lot of sense. Of course it's not supposed to, that's how the pros take yer money.

It helps to keep in mind that huge bear rallies are part n parcel of this environment. History has plenty of evidence.

Sometimes , just when I'm chipping away nicely, taking fast profits and all is going well, I give away a bunch on one or two 'weak minded' days.

Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance says it all. Put down your tools, step away, sit back and relax. Do other things. The market will be there and there will be even bigger opportuniites when your mind is clear, not in a hurry.

Even watch the market only for interest sake, not to trade. Get a feel for things and if it's crazy? leave it alone. It happens I gave up a pile on SPG Wednesday,, shorting it. Toward end of day I finally said what the heck!!?? go with the momentum ...and loaded up long. I got some back, and more on Thursday. But watching SPG all day Wed, every dip bought, I needed to turn long earlier. Stubborn doesn't win in this environment.

Other times, I just take a few days off to refresh. AFterall, fighting the market makers and other pros is intense work. 10 hours a day in front of monitor jumbles the brain ...so feel free to pause and refresh. Go with the momentum. Don't fight the tape... take profits, set stops. Simple eh!??
;-00))

I know, ya know most of this stuff. If one thing helped, then great.
