No, I never considered that possibility. Not only is it far fetched and divorced from both the text and the context but it is also directly contrary to the explanation the text itself clearly gives. Death did not come from the tree of life (which is also found in Heaven in the book of Revelations) -- death was a direct result of the judgement of God as the penalty for their disobedience.
