I think the Wyden-Bennett bill could be a start but I just have a feeling that it is going to make America less competitive in the world marketplace. Unless we can repair our position in the world it's all for naught because we'll end up so poor no one could afford anything.

The world marketplace is changing so fast I can't believe it. My company sells it's goods worldwide and for the the last 35 years everything was made in America. As recently as 3 years ago we would spend in excess of $10mil every year at local machine shops, and that money was mostly for the labor component. This year we won't spend $1 mil locally but will spend the majority having the work done in Eastern Europe. We don't have a choice because our foreign competition will control our pricing.
