The [Wyden-Bennett] plan does offer cost some containment but not nearly enough. Our healthcare industry is broken because it costs to much and I believe the only long term answer is cost control.
Does it make sense, in your opinion, to first craft a structure with bipartisan support and defer the cost control for round two? If Congress tries to do everything at once, it’s hard to see how it ends up doing anything at all.
