My daughter has two Australian cattle dogs. I guessed the breed before clicking on your link. I'm convinced they are one of the most intelligent breeds around. And, they are quite strong. I'll share the puppy pics. They have the same dad and different moms. They are 3 months apart. One is a blue, like the one in the article, the other is a red.
