bottomdollar, more or less, MMs (market makers) hide bids at will -- and/or to their advantage.

Logically MMs must show the highest bids. However, another possibility, considering that NITE serves a multitude of brokerages, that MM can display the average bid(if they are not spaced far apart) between a number of open orders imo.
