though off-topic, I truly appreciate your perspective because it mirrors mine so much. You have done more research in the areas I haven't and have given me some new investment approaches.

We all learn from our experiences in life. That's what makes us who we are. Perhaps the difficult road I have travelled is a blessing in disguise as I am truly moving in the direction of a self-sustaining life. My ultimate goal to be totally independent of all governments, as I agree with you that they are now only self-serving and dismissive of the masses.

If you don't have/need income, they can't tax you much. Unfortunately, I own a lot of land that currently has no market and they keep raising my property taxes. I suppose they will soon implement an "ownership tax" that will require us to pay a tax for the cummulative value of anything we own every year. This way we are always needing to stay connected to the system.

The government truly sucks. Thay are like the ruling class that gets ever greedier and unfair to the working class that provides them all of their perks. How long before the masses revolt? It's inevitable unless they cut the size of government drastically and reward the motivated people that are willing to advance their lives through hard work. I don't see that happening voluntarily.
