Ahh, yes... SGI Altix. Those things are definitely built for scalability, that's for sure. I was looking at the HP scores.
Although, I think it's important to note where IPF's volume sales are coming from, including what is available for other OEMs besides HP and SGI. In this respect, resellers of AMD systems have a distinct advantage, because the standard IPF platform based on E8870 is weak by comparison.
