Aren't there some software issues to be considered?

Aside from the rather impressive announcement, what software does the thing run?

Solaris is not ready, and if I know Scotty, it will not be ready until Sunw gets out of the hardware business.

Linux is in direct competition with solaris, so sun, despite what they say is not pumping Linux.

Win 32? stuff? I guess, but how serious can sun be about pumping Microsoft stuff.

The announcement is a mile wide and an inch deep.
